YEREVAN. – After placing flowers Saturday nearby Downtown Yerevan’s Myasnikyan Statue, and in memory of the tragic events that had taken place on March 1, 2008, fifty members from the “Come out to the street” initiative are marching toward the Armenian Presidential Palace.

But they stopped for a moment near the Russian Embassy, the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informs.

“Our action is not directed against Russia, but rather against the Kremlin policy. [Russian President Vladimir] Putin, together with [Armenia’s second President Robert] Kocharyan, committed a crime against humanity. We also condemn Putin’s tyrannical policy in Ukraine,” stated political opposition member Davit Shahnazaryan, who is Director of Concord Center for Legal and Political Studies.

The participants in the march are holding a black banner that reads, “No passaran” (“They shall not pass”).
